Today I have just finished the installation of 12 works on paper - watercolours and mono prints. Some of the work is created as a response to performances of Win Wollongong Symphony Orchestra. Art works created between 2007 and 2009.
Currently work is in progress on "Aquarelle and the Orchestra".
In May, I was showing children how to sculpt and made this fish. It was fired and just has been glazed (not fired with glaze yet)
Last month I was travelling to Melbourne by car. I drove that far for the first time in my life. Attemps of driving from Venice (Italy) through Innsbruck (Austria) back to Fussen (Germany) in 2002 for few hours, trying to reach allowed 200km/h speed, do not count. I could not reach that speed even the car was ok and the roads are so fantastic.
Anyway in Australia I do not try to go so fast... Driving with the speed, that is allowed, even less, we were stoping here and there. After 3pm I was getting too tired. I said to kids, just a few kilometers after NSW/Victoria border,
focusing on human presence within a landscape in a scope of Camouflage exhibition. Exhibition is very soon in July 15-26, 2009 at Project Contemporary Artspace.
"Musica de Colombia en Australia" is a diptych and was made in July-August last year.
First panel based on conversation with Carlos Alvorado:
...Colombia! It is a lot of colour, it is lush-green, rivers flowing from endless high mountain range...
Well his emotional description made me to paint this fast emotional picture...
Second panel of diptych based on rehearsal of two musicians and the conductor.
